Botox and Dysport are FDA- approved prescription injectables formulated to temporarily reduce moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and “crows feet” which are also known as “laugh lines.” Botox is also injected into the skin to treat the symptoms of severe underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis).
Overactive or overused muscles can result in wrinkles and fine lines.
Botox works by blocking nerve impulses in these muscles. With less movement, the skin surface smooths out allowing the wrinkles/creasing to soften or even fade away entirely.
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE?
During your consultation, a clinician will determine the most appropriate dosage for your specific condition as well as taking into consideration the area that is being treated.
Injections are made directly into the overactive muscle. The injections take only a few minutes with little discomfort. Generally, effects begin to show in 2-7 days and can last anywhere from 3-6 months. Typically, a visit every 3-4 months will keep the previous wrinkles from returning and preventing new wrinkles from forming.
