Is a cheek filler treatment right for me?
Cheek bones are one of the biggest contributors of framing our faces and foundational in that they anchor our tissue up against aging and gravity. As we age, we lose cheek bone density, tissue loss (hollowness), and gravity-related fat-pad displacement (sagging). Restoring the foundational cheek bone structure and replacing volume higher up in the mid-face can correct as well as prevent further visible signs of aging. The subtle lift it brings to our faces also indirectly relieves the lines and wrinkles around our lower face (nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and our prejowl sulcus).
A youthful face has three unique features: high cheekbones, full cheek volume, and a well-defined jawline. These attributes are often referred to as the ‘triangle of youth’ with the base of the triangle being at the cheeks and the point at the chin. As we age, this youthful triangle often becomes inverted. Restoring volume to our midface area ultimately can revert the triangle of aging back to the triangle of youth.
